Walk into the Old City through the Damascus Gate
Walk into the Old City through the Damascus Gate. When you come out of the Gate you'll be on an open street mall that slopes down from the Gate. Walk to the far end at the bottom of the slope. Bear to the right on El-Zeit Street. The HaShimi Hotel is ahead on the left. The HaShimi Hotel is also easy to reach from the Jaffa Gate.
