The public transport in Prague is well organized, efficient and very easy to use :-)


FROM THE AIRPORT:
Take the Airport Express bus (price 50czk; runs every 30 minutes from the arrival hall, until 9.15 p.m. every day) to Hlavní Nádrazí (Prague central railway station).
At Hlavní Nádrazí change to the metro (red line C). Buy a 32czk travel ticket (this will be good for both the metro and tram journey). Validate your ticket in the yellow boxes before going down to the metro platform. Take the metro in the direction of "Letňany", and get off at "Nádrazí Holesovice" (3 stops).
Alternatively you can buy a 32CZK ticket at the yellow automat at the bus stop in front of the terminal and take the bus number 119, validate your ticket in the yellow box on the bus, it will be valid for the whole journey to the hostel. At the final stop transfer to the Metro green line (A) and take the metro train to Muzeum. Here you will need to change to the (red line C) and head in the direction of "Letňany" to "Nádrazí Holesovice" (4 stops).
At "Nádrazí Holesovice" turn left when you step off the train carriage and go up the escalator. Exit from the front, cross the tram rails to the other side of the road and from there take any tram and go one stop to "Ortenovo Námestí".
At the "Ortenovo Námestí" tram stop, you will see the Hotel Plaza Alta on the opposite corner, walk down this street. You can see the hostel from here on your left side; just a 2 minute walk from tram stop to hostel.


Official airport taxis operate from in front of the terminals 24hours, be careful to agree the price before getting into the taxi, the usual rate is 500 -600CZK to the hostel.

FROM THE CENTRAL RAILWAY STATION ("HLAVNÍ NÁDRAZÍ"):
At Hlavní Nádrazí take the metro (red line (C)). Buy a 24czk travel ticket (this will be good for both the metro and tram journey). Validate your ticket in the yellow boxes before going down to the metro platform. Take the metro in the direction of "Letňany", and get off at "Nádrazí Holesovice" (3 stops).
At "Nádrazí Holesovice" turn left when you step off the train carriage and go up the escalator. Exit from the front, cross the tram rails to the other side of the road and from there take any tram and go one stop to "Ortenovo Námestí".
At the "Ortenovo Námestí" tram stop, you will see the Hotel Plaza Alta on the corner, walk in this direction. You can see the hostel from here on your left side; just a 2 minute walk from tram stop to hostel.

FROM THE CENTRAL BUS STATION ("FLORENC"):
At Florenc take the metro (red line (C)). Buy a 24czk travel ticket (this will be good for both the metro and tram journey). Validate your ticket in the yellow boxes before going down to the metro platform. Take the metro in the direction of "Letňany", and get off at "Nádrazí Holesovice" (2 stops).
At "Nádrazí Holesovice" turn left when you step off the train carriage and go up the escalator. Exit from the front, cross the tram rails to the other side of the road and from there take any tram and go one stop to "Ortenovo Námestí".
At the "Ortenovo Námestí" tram stop, you will see the Hotel Plaza Alta on the corner, walk in this direction. You can see the hostel from here on your left side; just a 2 minute walk from tram stop to hostel.

FROM THE INTERNATIONAL RAILWAY STATION ("NÁDRAZÍ HOLESOVICE") BY TRAM
Many trains from Vienna & Berlin stop at Nádrazí Holesovice Station which is less than a 10 minute walk or 1 tram stop from PLUS Prague Hostel.
Walk to the main exit south of the platforms, walk straight ahead through the covered walkway and head into the tunel (there's a large McDonalds sign above the tunel entrance). At the tunel exit turn right and walk past the bus stops to your left to the front of the main entrance of the metro station, where the trams pass and there is a McDonald. Cross the tram rails to the other side of the road and from there take any tram and go one stop to "Ortenovo Námestí". Remember to buy an 24 Kc ticket first, which must be validated in the yellow box on the tram.
At the "Ortenovo Námestí" tram stop, you will see the Hotel Plaza Alta on the corner, walk in this direction. You can see the hostel from here on your left side; just a 2 minute walk from tram stop to hostel.

From "Nádrazí Holesovice" it is possible to walk (maximum 10 minutes) to the hostel by turning left from the metro station and following the tram tracks to the Plaza Alta Hotel.

WALKING FROM THE "NÁDRAZÍ HOLESOVICE" TRAIN STATION TO THE HOSTEL. Walk to the main exit south of the platforms, at the covered walk way with shops turn left and head east across the car park towards the main street (Vrbenskeho) follow the road in the same direction untill you see the green Plaza Real Alta hotel on the corner. Turn left on this street (Ortenovo Namesti). Walk straight along past the park to your left hand side and cross the small street, the hostel is the biggest building ahead on the left of the street.
