Very nice hostel with new & useful facilities. Great location, delicious breakfast buffet (for an extra 10 R$, absolutely worth it). The staff was very friendly and helped out not only with tour tips (like the offered group tours) but also with recommendations for individual days tours that can be done by public transportation.
Dear guest, Thank you very much for your review! Best, Matheus.

One of the best places I stayed in!! I had very limited time because of a flight to Brazil, but still wanted to explore - David helped out with great recommendations and the most efficient tour organization ever! :)

One of the greatest places I ever stayed in. Very new (25 days old), couple things still under construction like the little jungle path to the hammock overlooking the Rio Magdalena (awesome view!!) & terrace beside it. Very stylish main house with a nice cocktail bar and a restaurant (had a soup and two cocktails, all delicious). Breakfast for 8.000 $ is also very good (eggs, toast, homemade jam, good coffee, cereal, fruit). Masaya also offers tours - horse riding recommended! Helpful staff!

Only stayed there for the night, very nice and helpful staff, standard facilities. Unfortunately no lockers in the rooms. When I was there, there were not many other people, so probably wouldn't count on meeting people as a solo traveler.

I had a great time in Cali at the Pelican Larry during the Petronio Alvarez Festival. The staff was super helpful especially when it came to what to do in Cali or surroundings as well as bus bookings. The breakfast was nice and the common areas where great for socializing. Overall definitely recommended!

Nice hostel, very friendly staff. Nice food at the restaurant beside it. Breakfast is ok, nothing too special, but serves the purpose. Unfortunately, there were no plugs in the second dorm I stayed in, had to charge phone/camera etc. in the common area which is a bit annoying. Also, windows, or any kind of fresh air flow is missing in the rooms. Location is great, right beside the Candelaria neighborhood. Fátima also offers fun activities/tours (walking tours, salsa class, bingo nights etc.).

Had a great stay in Salento at El Viajero! The terrace/common areas are very nice to hang out and provide wide views of the valley. Breakfast was tasty and differed slightly from one day to the other, which is great if you stay a while. The staff was friendly and helped out with tours, bookable through the hostel. Would definitely come back!
hi, thanks for stay with us, is nice to read about your experience at Viajero Salento, we wish you a nice trip around Colombia!

Only stayed here for one night, mainly to go to the Parque de los Nevados. Staff was absolutely friendly, helpful and gave lots of great recommendation. Too bad, the hostel didn't have many guests, probably because Manizales not the most popular destination. There are a couple tours that can be booked through the hostel as well, however I booked another one as the offered one didn't have any other participants.

Great hostel terrace including bar to hang out and meet people every other day. Super friendly staff! Also good recommendations about the city and the hostel surroundings. Breakfast was ok, nothing special though.

Very nice colorful hostel, clean common areas and rooms. The breakfast was Colombian standard. Located very nicely in the Getsemaní neighborhood. Wasn’t much of an interactive hostel but great to relax and have a special rum drink every night around 7.

My stay was alright, spent only one night there. Bathroom could have been cleaner. The pool area was either used to chill or to socialize. Didn’t use the bar as I had to get up quite early the next day. Breakfast was okay (egg, bread, fruit, coffee). The staff was nice, helped me even to find a better laundry place as they only offer a certain amount of it and I had less so it would not have been worth to pay 20.000$ for 2kg.

Stayed there for two nights and booked another night at the reception after my stay in Tayrona which was forgotten by one of the staff members. Instead, I got a 3 bed dorm for a better price with air con, which was nice. Unfortunately there was not that much atmosphere at the hostel.

Ok if you don’t look for too much company as it is not the most social place (also depending on the guests of course). The rooms were pretty small, almost no space to store your luggage. The showerhead was broken in one of the bathrooms. Some of the staff members were nice and helpful.
Thanks for your comments, and Thanks to you we will try to get better everyday, hope you have a great tríp around Colombia

Awesome place!! My room even had a balcony. Nahuel was the best host I ever had. We had BBQ with him in the backyard, went on a marvelous hike and got to experience the crazy Colombian game Tejo. Would definitely come back here!

The hostel as such was a cool place. Unfortunately, there was no vibe as all the other guests were quite isolated, which of course isn’t the hostel’s fault. The breakfast was ok but nothing special.

I likes the hostel’s location close to the Malecón, walking to Habana vieja took about 15 min. Unfortunately, the reception staff was not very helpful and didn’t help out much when their help would have been useful as locals. Info about the surrounding area was poor. There was not much atmosphere, don’t expect to meet too many people around. A big plus for the breakfast and Ideliz who was one of the sweetest people (housekeeper at the hostel) that I’ve met on this trip!

Had a really nice stay in 6 small rooms! The staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast was basic but good and provided a chatty atmosphere. The location was great too, it was easy to find your way around within a couple minutes. Only a small minus for the worn out beds/mattresses.

I had a really great stay in Zadar for 4 nights. The bar and the common areas were great to meet people. The kitchen is a little small, but works well for making a sandwich or such. It's not in the city center but the walk to get there is really nice along the coast and the beaches. I went to Plitvice Nationalpark with the shuttle service offered by Drunken & Lazy Monkey Hostel, which was very helpful insofar as not having to rent a car and meeting fellow travellers. Definitely recommendable!

Upon check in my reservation was lost. However, the receptionist solved as in giving me a bed in the voluntarys' room. Which worked out fine, but I didn't have space to leave my stuff as everything was occupied. Also, the voluntary staff was quite unapproachable at the time. Before the second night I was able to get another bed on request. There were no common activities so there was 0 atmosphere.

Great hostel, nice vibe & atmosphere! We were a little bit disappointed that none of the staff was Portuguese or spoke the language. However they recommended bars & activities and were helpful. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm but to get there, I had to walk through another dorm. Also, I suggest separating the bathroom area through a door in order not to disturb that dorm. My dorm was alright but the one you have to cross got zero privacy. The common area was really nice as well as the barbecue night!

Nice hostel for a getaway - great surroundings! Staff was friendly, didn't give lots of Information about the village and what to do though. Did stand up paddling through the hostel/surf shop on the river side. There were no common activities or anything like that provided as there were only 6 dorm beds, so the atmosphere is pretty calm. Great rooftop & backyard though!

Great staff, very helpful and happy to suggest things to do in Buzios and surroundings. Had fun going out with them to a music event close by as well as to a Latino night. The facilities were simple but sufficient. Bathrooms could have been cleaner. The common room was nicely furnished and clean.

The hostel was nicely located (tram, supermarkets and Old Town in 2 min Walking distance). Unfortunately the sauna was only open in from 9-11, it would've been great at night! The atmosphere of the hostel however was disappointing. The staff was nice and friendly but not very outgoing or informative, I felt like I had to pull out every single piece of information. Additionally, there was no community in the hostel, it was more so a cheap accommodation than a place to meet people and hang out.

We had a really great time at the Porto Spot Hostel! The staff was super friendly, the rooms were incredibly clean and new. We loved the high white wooden bunk beds with the closets underneath. Breakfast was really good as well :)

I was disappointed by this hostel as I didn't like the atmosphere as in other hostels which is probably due to its size in a city like SF. Furthermore the facilities could be updated and refurnished. The hostel up the hill looked much nicer and more inviting but unfortunately was full during the time of my stay. The staff was friendly but not very informative about what was happening in town, which is a pity as I am assuming there is a ton to do and see apart from the usual tourist path.
