Istanbul is such a beautiful, welcoming city and Cheers is right in the heart of it. It really is steps from Hagia Sophia. When I arrived from the airport I was greeted by name. They opened up the rooftop bar a bit early just for me. The view from the bar is awesome. There is a nice cafe/hookah bar right around the corner. Stop in there and say hi to Moses. I slept like a baby and when I woke up Tarik had a full breakfast spread downstairs. I will definitely be back there in April.

I was hesitant to book here because it is a party hostel and I tend to be kind of quiet. However, this was the perfect place to spend Halloween and several days afterward. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful- probably the best of my 2+ month trip. Norbi, one of the friendliest of the front desk workers, speaks several languages conversationally and was quite sweet. Every night the atmosphere was lively and friendly and every morning the facilites were clean and new again. Thanks y'all!
