The hostel is in a nice big house with a bar where they have a tasty menu and sometimes live music or other kind of parties (e.g. half way st. paddys day) so that it might be a little loud, depending where your room is. I stayed in a 6 bed girls dorm and it was nice, although very cold during the night since there is no heating and the windows are not airtight. Comparing to other hostels with free breakfast it is very very simple in Wild Rovers, but for all the party-people till 12 oclock!

The hostel is very close to the beach and restaurants with typical brazilian food. The staff does not really speak /understand English or Spanish, so there were mostly tourists from Brazil. You can use the kitchen in the afternoon, but it is not very well equipped...the breakfast is simple but ok. In comparison to much cheaper hostels (I paid 45$ per night in a doble room!) the breakfast, furniture and atmosphere were not very inviting :(

After the Olympics the hostel was quite empty but nevertheless it was a nice atmosphere and the staff was very friendly and helpful! The free breakfast is simple but adequate for the price/night....You have a nice view from the terrace, the hill and stairs are a good workout ;) the neighbourhood (Santa Teresa) is full of graffittis and art...I will come back!

A typical ancient house with old but comfortable furniture and paintings which contribute to the charm of a castle! The roof-top terrace offers a view of the habour and the 3 Cities. The staff is very friendly and eager for helping and giving information but actually only reachable during breakfast time :( kitchen is closed afterwards, for young people quite expensive to have dinner in a restaurant every day. I liked my stay for 3 nights but Sliema is better for young people.
