Eva was lovely!, she welcomed us so nicely, provided maps and info on where to go and what to see in town! Kitchen perfect for making dinner at home, location was amazing and so easy to get everywhere in town. Only thing is that we had booked a room for 3 people and it was pretty small with one big bed and a stretcher bed which basically made one large bed, not like what we had seen in the pictures. Also on the 3rd floor but all good to get some extra exercise!! Would recommend!!

We had a great stay here! Josip came and met us unexpectedly at the ferry which was so kind, his wife was also great and they both provided so much information and help regarding town, restaurants, attractions etc!! Room great, clean, large and private! So close to all attractions, bus and ferry terminal. A yummy restaurant underneath which offered us discount for staying at hostel with friendly staff. Would highly recommend staying here!!

This is a great place to stay if you are transiting between Cancun and somewhere else and just need a place to rest your head before a bus or flight. The rooms were small with no air con so it was very hot and mosquitos attacked when Windows were left open! Close to lots of Mexican restaurants which were yummy!

Is was just a transit stop for us, but an easy place to stay with easy access via bus to the airport! Room was good but the bathroom was pretty bad, no ventilation, cold and like a drip! Room ok but also very hot. Overall pretty average as atmosphere pretty limited also but a good place to stop if flying in and out!
Dear Esteemed Guest, We would like to thank you sincerely for your review. We are glad that you were able to benefit from our convenient location and that you had a pleasant stay. We apologize for the state of the bathroom and promise that our usual standards are much higher than those that you have experienced. Still, we have noted your comments and will work to improve. We hope that you come stay with us again so that you can see our progress :) Sinerely, Aldea Staff

We stayed here two seperate times, very basic for the price but then Cartagena is expensive in general. Close to some good streets and eats. No aircon in dorm rooms. DO NOT DO YOUR WASHING HERE We paid $15usd for 2kg and our washing came back smelling like smoke and we were missing some clothing (very $$$ clothing and sentimental!). We trusted the owner of hostel and for what we paid very angry at end result! Wash at your own risk or not at all!!

But overrated for all the hype! Yes it was a nice setting and relaxed atmosphere, yummy brownie, great pool but Location away from everything (although it's close to a big supermarket and mall), room was incredibly hot even with a fan! Minca "tour" was a joke!. They then booked us Accom at other "dreamer hostel" in palomino and we paid 3days in advance. However got to palomino and no bed, booking had been mucked up so had to share a bed between 2 with nothing offered for free, still had to pay!!

Nice hostel in nice neighbourhood, bathrooms were a bit dirty but the wifi was good, staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was additional $3us per person. Cool area to socialise in. No lockers in our dorm only small ones behind the bar which is a bit annoying when the door to your room doesn't lock.

A hostel that's pretty average all round but really close to the airport and bus station so perfect for one night before early flight or bus! Also very close to the big shopping mall which has a cinema playing English movies!!

We had a great stay! It's perfect if you want to get out of the hustle and bustle of mancora and relax! Marciel was so welcoming and friendly and helpful with anything! It's a 20min tuk tuk or taxi from montenita and close to el nuro also where you can view the turtles. There's no kitchen but they have a rest and lots near by! Would recommend!

Nice enough private room with some good views of the beach and especially the sunset from the rooftop.Social place with lots of activities.this hostel is advertised as a surf hostel with yoga etc..There were 3 boards to hire (1 broken, 1 too small) and yoga was not on. There no also surf trips. Kitchen was disgusting we didn't attempt cooking. The hostel is run by volunteers (all nice) but feels like no one is in charge therefore aftermath of party's,smoking and mess were common to wake up to.
Hello Thank you for your comments and your constructive criticism. We have new staff now, we have 2 managers in charge of the hostel and we also have housekeepers working. We have yoga classes and surf lessons every day. We also have surf trips to chicama and trips to chan-chan and huaca de la luna. The kitchen is cleaned 4 or 5 times a day. Volunteers help us to make of this hostel a better place for you and your stay and they follow the hostel's rules now ! Hope you see you soon

Nice location and friendly staff with onsite travel agent. Rooms decent but only two showers (and one that works) for too many people. If your looking for a very chilled atmosphere it's good but not very social at all.

Really great experience, great staff, food, social activities, really clean (our private room got cleaned daily with fresh towels). Good location! Just a little bit pricey in comparison to other privates but would recommend!!

Nice hostel with friendly staff. We stayed in a loud room by front door the first night but staff did all they could to move us somewhere else. Great breakfast!! A little bit further out of town and not much socially going on even though they have a great area to socialise, play pool and outdoor games. Overall nice place to stay!

A nice place to stay but we stayed at the B&B and there's not much social going on. Breakfast was ok but not really all you can eat as you spend more time waiting for pancakes to appear. Private rooms were good, our first was quite damp leaving a nasty smell in the room but our second was much better! Overall staff were friendly and a cheap place to crash close enough to town!

This is somewhere to go, for cheap, for a night, but longer than that would be hard as it has a very small kitchen and the fridge was not appealing. Toilets were flooding from drains and no one was at reception to meet us. However the staff were helpful when we were unable to pay for accomodation as we only had card and were happy to do a money transfer. Average distance from town, it's not a bad walk in.

Overall an awesome place to stay especially due to the great location and the social factor! Really cool areas to hang out, play pool, eat, drink and watch the sunset! Bathrooms were pretty gross and needed cleaning and staff were a bit slack. But would recommend staying here we may have just caught staff at a bad time.

We had a great stay here, everything was great! If anything could be improved its the atmosphere..needs something to make it a bit more social, not the best place to meet others. However everything else was great and there is one lady working there :Mijal who is an asset to this hostel! She makes it what it is and us have the experience we had in San Pedro. She is so full of knowledge on the area, and more than happy to spend the time. The hostel should be proud to have someone like her there.

Really enjoyed our stay here, rooms were nice, bathrooms were good, wifi awesome! Breakfast pretty average and the lady serving breakfast was incredibly rude but other than that it was really cool!! Yummy restaurant next door and located right in the heart of it all!

A very average hostel overall for the money you pay. close to town but up four blocks of hills so if you don't mind a vertical climb with your back pack!! Breakfast pretty standard and they had run out of happy hour tap beer. Deluxe room was not very "deluxe" in comparison to others we have stayed at. The best thing were the staff who were lovely and friendly but didn't know too much about the town.

Good place to base for cheap, nice warm rooms.staff friendly and helpful ang awesome hot showers!! Towels not included and no plugs in rooms which is pretty annoying as everyone hovers in lounge area to wait in line to charge phones etc. wifi drops in and out and none in the rooms. Need some sort of social activity to get people socialising.

We checked in to the hostel and were informed the room was damp due to a water leak. We attempted to stay in the room but it was really bad. The hostel staff were great, and moved us up the road to a private room. Very understanding of the situation. Location great and the breakfast was awesome!!
Guys: Thank you for your review and patient. This week we were able to talk with the neighbours and ended the leak. Room should be fixed in short!

Great place for a quick visit! Yummy pizza homemade and really cool outdoor social area. However there was no fan and the A/C was broken in the room so it was hard to get a good nights sleep.

Really cool location, AMAZING breakfast!!, free surfboard hire, YUMMY home made dinners every night for cheap! Great place to socialise and the staff truely were amazing!! Downside... Not the best place to get sleep,,, pretty loud at night, no aircon and lots of mosquitos in the room :( :(!! But still a cool place to stay!
Hi Michala, We are so glad you liked you stay with us! When i travel, i always bring ear plugs and bug repellent . You never know when you might need them. Summer time parties and all that... Also, you knew that your 10 bed dorm did not have A.C. when you reserved your bed.But it has 3 ceiling fans. All Good! Thanks again! Take care,Jim Rehman
