General Group Booking Terms
By making a group reservation through Hostelworld.com you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by Hostelworld.com and as set by the hostel in question.
- In order to make a group reservation on Hostelworld.com it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
- The booking deposit is non-refundable.
- Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
- Hostelworld.com are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
- Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
- It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
- Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.
Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions
The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card 1 week prior to arrival. Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.
The following group types are not accepted by this hostel: Junior / Primary School, High / Secondary School, College / University, Stag/Hen/Bachelor Party If you have misrepresented the type of group you are booking for, your booking may be cancelled by the hostel."
Any cancellations resulting from agreement to these terms and conditions under false pretences will result in loss of deposit.

Completely redesigned and refurbished in 2017 we offer large outdoor spaces, fun and welcoming common areas, free unlimited fibre Wi-Fi and even a wee gym for those that like to stay in shape while traveling.
Every effort has been put in to ensure that everything that you might need we have.
Our dorms have secured under bed lockers and each bunk has their own reading light, shelf and power point so that you can stay charged and connected.
Options of single room w. en-suite and all our twin and double rooms have their own en-suite bathroom as well.

Reception is open 8am to 9pm. Late check-ins only can be arranged with prior notice.

Age restriction: 18+
CHECK-IN: Check-in is from 15.00NZT. If you arrive earlier on the date of your stay we are more than happy to hold your bags for you until your room is available. Early check-in is subject to availability on the day of arrival. We require valid identification on check-in in the form of driver’s licence or passport and evidence of your booking reference.
LATE ARRIVALS: We request that guests advise us of late arrival plans (arrival times after 22.00 NZT) prior to date of arrival. In these instances directions on how to obtain the room key will be informed by the Bridge Backpackers Reservations Team, via e-mail. Entrance into the Bridge Backpackers building will be treated as an acceptance to our terms and conditions.
NO SHOW: In the event that the (a) guest does not arrive for their booking, the booking will be cancelled in its entirety at 8.00 NZT on the morning after the reservations set arrival date. Bridge Backpackers will take a charges payable equal to the first nights accommodation.
CHECK-OUT: Check-out time is 11.00 NZT. We request that guests fully vacate the bed/room/apartment by this time. Belongings cannot be stored in the apartment after this time, however we have secure storage available on request. Late check-out is subject to availability, must be pre-arranged and may incur additional charges.
If you wish to extend your stay please contact the team with as much notice as possible; extensions are subject to availability and may result in a room move. If you wish to shorten your stay this must be done with at least 24 hours’ notice of your new check-out date. Any delays in vacating room after 11.00 NZT will result in an additional delay fee on the top of the room rate.
MAXIMUM ROOM OCCUPANCY: The maximum number of guests per room type is clearly specified on our website and via all our online agent sites. Failure to book appropriate rooms/bed numbers for your group may result in members of your party being turned away and/or penalty charges.
ELIGIBILITY: Guests must be at least 18 years old in order to make a reservation. For the avoidance of doubt, any persons aged 17 years or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of their stay at Bridge Backpackers. All guests must provide valid identification in the form of a driver’s licence or passport at check-in.
ROOM ALLOCATION: While every endeavour will be made to ensure you are accommodated in the same room throughout your stay, due to limited availability at time of booking, it may be necessary for you to change rooms. If applicable, you will be advised of this at check-in. You will be accommodated in a room of similar or higher standard to that originally booked.
Due to limited availability at time of booking, multi-share accommodation for two or more guests may be provided in separate rooms. Every endeavour will be made to ensure this does not occur, but should this be necessary you will be advised at check-in.
SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted inside any part of Bridge Backpackers buildings; this includes the use of vapes. There are designated areas for smokers outside the building. Any guest who smokes inside the rooms is liable to pay a cleaning fee.
FIRE ALARM CHARGES: If there is evidence to suggest that a heat or smoke sensor has been set off purposefully or through a guest’s active negligence, heavy use of aerosol products or smoking/vaping in the building the guest will be liable to pay the fire service call out charge (NZ$1200). Any guest suspected of or caught altering smoke detectors or sprinklers will be asked to leave the property immediately without refund.
ALCOHOL & DRUG USE: We allow moderate, responsible drinking onsite in our communal areas. After 22.00 NZT we request that guests vacate the premises if they wish to continue drinking in line with our Social Code below. Intoxicated guests who are deemed a risk to themselves or others will be asked to leave the premises. The use of illegal drugs is not permitted on our sites and will result in immediate eviction without refund.
SOCIAL CODE: For a stress-free stay for all our guests in the Backpackers, Bridge Backpackers requests that you be mindful of other guest trying to rest. Between 22.00 NZT and 07.00 NZT we request that you respect all other guests and keep the noise level to a minimum. Should we receive any noise-complaints this will be considered as a first warning and if repeated, we reserve the right to charge a NZ$30 Disturbance Fee per person and ask you to leave the lodge premises quietly.
