Cohort Hostel, St Ives

Cohort is a truly epic hostel located in the centre of St Ives. Housed in an old Wesleyan Chapel and schoolrooms it has spectacular features along with contemporary accommodation facilities, superfast WiFi and unique indoor and outdoor social spaces. St Ives is the jewel in Cornwall's crown and consistently rated the most picturesque town in the county; with 5 stunning, sandy beaches and ocean on 3 sides of the town, you couldn't pick a more spectacular place to base yourself while you explore West Cornwall. Cohort is supremely central - just minutes from over 50 bars, cafes and restaurants and 5 minutes from St Ives' breathtaking beaches and the South West coastal path. It is a 5 minute walk to the bus and train station, both of which have excellent transport links to London and other major cities in the South, Newquay and the more remote parts of Cornwall. It's also situated very near to 3 public car parks. It is a 5 minute walk to the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden, 10 minutes to Tate St Ives, St Ives School of Painting and the Surf School and 15 minutes to the Bernard Leach Pottery Museum. --- We have an in-house bar, lounge, courtyard, movie/TV room, private rooms and shared dorm accommodation. There are laundry and dry room facilities and breakfast items are sold at the bar in the morning. Free tea & (fresh) coffee served from the bar between 08:00 and 10:00. Our kitchen area is fully equipped with everything you might need to make a quick snack, packed lunch or evening meal and we are situated right next to a small supermarket which is open 7am-11pm 7 days a week. Rooms have custom built pod bunk beds, each with its own light, plug socket, USB port and lockable storage space; curtains on all the beds ensure privacy within the dorms and most rooms have sinks en suite. All bathroom facilities are shared. Free, superfast WiFi is available throughout the hostel, including in the bedrooms. Cohort's Policies & Conditions: CANCELLATION: Cancellation policy is 48 hours before arrival. i.e. if your booking is for 5th November you must cancel before 23:59 on 3rd November. Failure to cancel before this date will result in the full cost of the booking being charged. PAYMENT: The balance remaining on your stay will be charged on arrival; payment must be made in full in order to be checked in to your room. Please note that we do not currently accept AmEx, Diners Card or PayPal. CHECK IN/OUT: Check-in is from 2pm. Check-out is 10am. KEYS: You will be given a key card on arrival, there is a £2 charge for a lost or non-returned card. TRAVELLING WITH MINORS: We welcome all children aged 3+ at the hostel and reserve the right to refuse your check-in and charge the full cost of the stay if you are travelling with a child younger than 3. If you are travelling with a child aged 11 or under you must book a private room; this is both for their safety and the convenience of others.
