The family is friendly&breakfast is a huge vegetarian meal (she tried to give me vegan option).The dorms&the house are pretty colourful decorated with 2 cool terraces,but could be cleaner. Especially outdoor toilet.The dorm has not really curtains so it's bright, lot of bathrooms/aren't able to be really locked (&smell intense because of a cleaning product I guess).in one you can see in.the single room under the roof was really hot&all the dogs barking at night&morning even louder.slept bad

Where do I begin?! This place was more than a hostel, it felt like home! Super relaxed atmosphere with the best rooftop and breakfast in all of my stay in Mexico. Irene and the rest of the staff here go above and beyond for the guests here. Every morning they prepare a delicious breakfast that fuels you for the whole day. Thank you so much for making my stay here so wonderful— this is a must for Guanajuato!

Location I loved, but not everybody is gonna appreciate the long walk up the steps :D
Breakfast was a real highlight: home-cooked Mexican food, huge portions, fresh fruit - every day.
Mattress was maybe the hardest I've ever slept on.
Lighting in the bathroom was dreadful - one white lamp off to the side, so it's impossible to shave or check your face as you can only see one side of it. No place to put your stuff in there - a bamboo table wouldn't be a bad idea.
