10 Minutes from the airport and Blue-Bay beach and less than 5 minutes walk to most facilities in town (shops, restaurants, banks, etc.) and to Mahebourg Waterfront and to the Unique Manioc Biscuit Factory in the world. Hop on a bus at the Mahebourg bus station and can go to many places around the island. Well-equipped and renovated rooms, with air-conditioning, a private toilet & bath and a flat-screen TV. Free Wi-Fi access in all rooms. We now have a new kitchen, dining facilities, refrigerator, and common area. We provide clean linen and housekeeping facilities on a daily basis. We provide information on places to visit during your stay.

Very upset by them when I checked in. Shouted at and demanded to pay 750rp for a taxi I didn't order (the management had confused the receptionist). Then he said give him '700', 'give me 500', then 'give me 400'. It's a shame the card machine won't work for ..'a week'? I had to go out and get cash. I took a photo when I paid in cash. Three times I was overcharged as the wrong conversion or calculation was used. I've been put in a different room than what I paid for, ensuite.

AC was not working, room was not lockable because the shared balcony's door was broken. Dead insects on the floor were not cleaned for days. Very loud room with chickens screeching in the morning. The people running it are friendly and helpful.

Had a lovely stay here and met some great fellow travellers. A bit muddled on arrival and everything's very basic but not surprising for the price. Wonderful view from the balcony along the river to lion mountain and I recommend the evening meal offered, Malas food is delicious!
