They overcharged me by 30 francs as “taxes” but the original price I should've been charged said including taxes so no idea where the 30 franc charge came from. Front door was open 24/7 never locked, and never actually saw any staff to check in when we arrived. Rang to resolve the overcharged payment from my account and it was not resolved

Locks on the bathrooms second floor
Women’s bathroom was without a lock, there was no way to take a shower without someone walking into the bathrooms. Doors to lounge to be open for all guests not just for groups. Hot water in the bathrooms for showers. That the kitchen is clearly marked. That the reception is maned the hours that are expected. That guests are not given a key that could easily be lost. Clear institutions on where to leave rooms keys and checkout routines.

Great little hostel with lots of character. The staff were lovely and so helpful when we got there early for check in before 4pm and the door wasn't open. Kitchen was open to use and had everything we needed, the rooms were clean and bathrooms were good. In a great location 10 minutes from the centre of Lucerne. Simple but does what you want from a hostel.
