The room I stayed in - a dormitory style set up with 8 beds - was very clean. The bathrooms also clean and nicely appointed. The location was excellent, just a few minutes walk from a beach in Luquillo and located centrally in the town.
The only shortcoming was ambiguity with regard to how I actually get into my room. The facility has no reception office - as far as I could tell. As I was wondering how to get into my room, I received e-mail with a phone number to call for lock code.

There is not yet a welcoming common space or any kitchen facilities but I can see the potential for such. Because of the lack of these amenities, I thought the cost was higher than it should be. Other than that, it was a quiet, clean, comfortable place to spend the night.

Surfing turtle is such a great place to stay!! It was very clean, located right near the beach and had a great overall vibe. The roof deck is gorgeous too.
