Located in the peaceful corner of the popular tourist destination, Thamel, WanderThirst Hostels is a nest to wanderlust backpackers who have come here for a Nepali experience. WanderThirst accommodates you with clean and spacious rooms that have been labeled to three parts: Dorm room, Private room and Female dorm room, clean and comfortable beds, bathrooms and showers running with hot and cold water. All the rooms are painted with a different theme that keeps your wanderlust spirit alleviated even when you are relaxing.

I really wanted this to be a good experience, since it was my first stay at a hostel ever but sadly I cannot give it a better review. The location was great, right in the middle of Thamel. Sadly the hostel was extremely cold and the windows in our room were impossible to lock, plus there was a big hole in the wall. There was only cold water in the showers. When we were checking out the security guard seemed tired and/or drunk and refused to give us back our deposit for the locker key.

Wanderthirst is one of the best hostels I've ever been to. Great rooms, rooftop with a view of beautiful Kathmandu, perf for some morning yoga, really good shared areas with hammocks, bonfires in the colder months, a scene for neverending jamsessions, and varied and ever-changing art on the walls. But greatest of all was the people. The staff is so helpful and fun. And if you're looking for a new friend, or someone to do the Annapurna with, just go downstairs - your new friends are on their way.

Really cozy place, it gets a bit cold in the night but the blanket is heavy and warm. Good for meeting people, specially in the terrace sector. I didnâ€™t try it but the food looked tasty and thereâ€™s warm water for drinking and showering.
