Designed with boutique comfort: train car style bunks with pillow tops mattresses, plush king-size pillows, in-bed outlets/lights/storage, and privacy curtains, as well as individual full tile showers.
Our staff is also made up of travelers. They are here to give their best local suggestions and lead our weekly events.
Our hostel is located in Cap Hill just a short walk from the state capitol, downtown bars, and an awesome music scene. Once the home of Denver’s elite, the neighborhood has urban character, eclectic architecture (historic mansions, such as ours), and is well known as a haven for young artists, musicians, and bohemians (Jack Kerouac loved it here). Near us is Colfax Avenue, which is the concert and live music hub of Denver! The Fillmore Auditorium, The Ogden Theater, as well as numerous late-night bars, coffee shops, thrift stores, and restaurants, are just blocks away. The Denver Art Museum, Santa Fe Arts District, and South Broadway bar scene are also within walking distance from the hostel.

Liked: beds w/curtains, light, outlets for charging many things. Many toilets & showers, & a large hot tub! Nice classy furniture, nice woodwork generally. Would definitely come here again. Generally good music in house, speaking as dj
Needs improvement: Mainly the kitchen & eating facilities. Kitchen is way too small, needs a real stove top. Needs a large table in lounge to sit at. Not nice sitting on a couch eating a meal. Recycling: need bins for glass, plastic, food waste, general garbage.

The Ember was a warm and welcoming environment with lots of social events. The common rooms had cool vibes - nice furniture, huge projector screen for movie nights, eclectic decor etc. Bathrooms were relatively clean and the showers looked new. However, the bed sheets weren’t clean when we arrived the first night. My pillow smelled strongly of body odour and my friends blanket smelled like it hadn’t been washed. They replaced our sheets no problem but the body odour smell lingered. Definitely doesn’t feel r

This hostel is really great and looks amazing. It has three levels with paid and free events to do. The nicest amenity I found is the hot tub and the only downside is that it can a little further from union station but transit and ride share options are still possible.
