Melbourne Hostel is owned by Dhillon Hotels Hong Kong Ltd. and the Director is an Ex-British army serviceman and is catering to a a lot of tourists and backpackers from Europe, America, Australia and rest of the world.
Centrally located in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hostel is a 5-minute walk from Avenue of Stars and a 10-minute walk from Harbour City Mall. It offers free Wi-Fi access on its premises.Just a 2-minute walk from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station (Exit E), the hostel is a 45-minute drive from the Hong Kong Airport.
Rooms are air-conditioned, and feature attached bathroom with shower facilities. The guesthouse does not house an eatery. However, all the Chinese Indian halal food are available.
This property is a licensed Guest House (General) under Office of The Licensing Authority in Hong Kong.

Great location, great price, very clean, safe and secure, nice staff. Room is pretty small but doable. If you are over 175 cm then you may have a hard time fitting in the bed. Wifi was not good but cell signal was, so if you have a SIM then you'll be fine.

A standard HK hostel in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. It's one in a dozen of hostels packed together.
Overall negative.
There's only one bathroom for a couple of dorms. The down elevators are usually full. The building is a huge Indian community packed with shops downstairs. The building is dirty with strong smell. Upper beds are too high, as well as the bottom-most latter for climbing.
It is one of the worst hostels in the world; though, you get what you paid for. It deserves the price.
