Nordic Hostel Policy and Conditions:

Cancellation policy: 48 hours before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or no-show, you will be
charged the entire stay.

Check-in from 15:00.
Check out at any time after checking in up to 11:00.

Taxes included

The total amount of the reservation will be charged if it is canceled within 2 days of arrival. In case of a no-show, the full reservation will be charged.

Please include all necessary details for us to ensure maximum efficiency. For group bookings, a status list must be sent 8 weeks before arrival and a confirmed name list must be sent 4 weeks before arrival.

When making a reservation at Nordic Hostel, you have two options: Standard and Non-refundable. Just so you know, for both options, a valid credit card is required to complete the reservation process.

To ensure safety and convenience, we may require credit card information and a valid document registration during check-in. This is necessary for payment and fraud prevention purposes. Please be advised that failure to comply with this request will result in the inability to check-in. All information collected will be erased after check-out.

Non-refundable Option: Selecting the non-refundable option means that the full amount will be charged to your credit card immediately upon booking. It's important to understand that once you've chosen this option, refunds for the amount paid are not available.

Standard Option: Opting for the standard option provides you with flexibility. You can cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the check-in date. Please note that if you cancel after this period, charges may apply.

We recommend reviewing both options carefully before making your reservation to ensure it aligns with your travel plans and preferences.

Group Policy (8 people or more): we reserve the right to charge a 30% deposit at the time of booking to confirm the reservation. Full payment must be paid at least 4 weeks before arrival, or upon confirmation if booked within 4 weeks of arrival. If the payment is delayed, Nordic Hostel reserves the right to cancel the booking and withdraw its confirmation of services.

Children older than 3 years old are welcome. Cribs and extra beds aren't available at this property.

The minimum age for check-in is 18. Terms of Payment Individual Policy (1 - 7 people): Nordic Hostel will issue an invoice for the full amount on the date of arrival.

Cancellations must be sent in writing to Nordic Hostel and are only valid if confirmed in writing by Nordic Hostel. By standard practices of the Icelandic travel industry, the following cancellation fees apply. Notice of cancellation – Individuals (1 – 7 people): Less than 48 hours before arrival or no-show: 100% of the value of your reservation will be charged. Notice of cancellation – Groups (8 or More): Less than four weeks before arrival 100% will be charged in case of cancellation, but a new reservation can be made for the same value within a year from the original reservation.

Nordic Hostel, along with its staff and management, cannot be held accountable in cases where hostel bookings are unable to be fulfilled due to unforeseen circumstances, even with diligent care taken to prevent them. Such occurrences may include, but are not limited to, war, the threat of war, civil unrest or strife, labor disputes, natural disasters, fires, acts of nature, terrorist activities, transportation disruptions, closures of airports, ports, or ferries, quarantine measures, epidemics, adverse weather conditions, government interventions, or other events beyond our control.

Please be aware that refunds for bookings affected by road closures, canceled flights, or adverse weather conditions are not available. Given the unpredictable nature of weather in our region, we strongly advise obtaining travel insurance when traveling to Iceland, to mitigate the risk of potential disruptions to your plans.

You can check-in any time after 03:00 pm on your arrival day and check-out can be any time after your check-in time, up to 11:00 am on your departure booking day.

Please be aware that room availability is contingent upon the previous night's occupancy levels. If your bed is prepared ahead of schedule, we're happy to grant you early access. Alternatively, to ensure early check-in, you may opt to reserve the night prior to your stay.

Nordic Hostel reserves the right to modify its rates for economic purposes, such as currency fluctuations, inflation, or an increase in supplier costs. Any changes in rates will not retroactively affect bookings that have already been confirmed.

If Nordic Hostel, under exceptional circumstances, is unable to provide the client with the agreed rooms on arrival, Nordic Hostel shall locate another room of equal or superior quality at no extra charge. This shall be done only with the agreement of the client. If after the reservation, Nordic Hostel is unable to provide the room booked, the property reserves the right to cancel the booking and withdraw its confirmation of services by informing the client as soon as possible. All parties agree that the venue and jurisdiction regarding any matter related to these terms and conditions shall be where Nordic Hostel is located, and the laws of Iceland shall govern.

The luggage storage room is accessible and available only during our reception opening hours.
Please note the property is not responsible for lost belongings, and it is the guest’s responsibility to use the security provided.
Nordic Hostel does not take any responsibility for luggage left in our luggage room for storage.
In extreme cases, the property reserves the right to ban guests without a refund if they cause disturbance to other guests resulting in complaints from more than one other guest, do not respect the terms stated in this form, or damage or disrespect the property.
Guests must in all cases respect the quiet time. The property reserves the right to charge additional fees for any damage found during the inspection after the check-out time. Extra fees will be applied if the returned room requires extraordinary cleaning and maintenance.

Smoking and vaping are strictly forbidden in our premises and all use of illegal drugs according to Icelandic law. Breaking this rule may result in extra charges and/or a ban from the hostel without a refund.

Only registered staying guests are permitted to utilize the hostel's facilities, except for the bar and lounge area. For security and comfort reasons, introducing additional individuals who are not officially checked in is strictly prohibited.
