Riyad Aicha was excellent. The brothers/managers are welcoming and accommodating. It turns out another one of their brothers operates the excellent desert trip they arrange. Even before I checked in, they let me sleep for over four hours. I had arranged an overnight desert trip but worried I wouldn’t have enough to do on my second day in Merzouga. The brothers said they would take me to the market in Rissani on the second day and it all worked out. The family genuinely care that you enjoy.

very friendly people, authentic berber atmosphere, very good food. Next time i will be very happy to return in Riad Aicha

Overall it's a good hostel. But at some points I was pretty disappointed. They offered me a transportation from/to supratours bus stop as the Riad is so far that we cannot walk.Thought this service was included in the rate but actually they charged 100DH when checking out without any notices. They should have let me know about this when booked because they never say in this regard on the website. Another thing I need to tell is air conditioning was not available day time.
