Hafaldan HI hostel - Old Hospital

Nestled in the mountainous landscape of the Eastfjords, Seyðisfjörður is a true gem of a town with colourful little houses and a vibrant arts community. It was the site of the internationally acclaimed television series Trapped, showing its ominous side in the middle of winter. In the summer the town is alive with culture events, and when the Norröna ferry docks every week it is transformed into the smallest metropolis in the world.

Hafaldan Old Hospital hostel is located in the towns centre in the historic former hospital building. The building has been under constant renovation for the last years and is without a doubt one of Icelands most charming hostels with beautiful interior design and attention to detail. The newest pride is the little basements 'SPA' where guests can enjoy a Sauna & relax after a busy day of sightseeing.
