Great location outside the city center if you are looking for a quieter place closer to the tea growing hills. Rooms were some of the nicest I've stayed in at hostels and were warm even on a cold night. Food was good but a bit expensive, but most of the local restaurants are overpriced anyway as its a very touristy area. Front desk staff was nice but not particularly helpful and I found more helpful information doing my own research on nearby hikes/excursions than what they were able to provide.

Very good choice for hostel stay in Hangzhou!
My first hostel experience and I am pleasantly surprised!
Excellent location for walking round the lake and access to the various parks round the lake.
Check-in staff was excellent, efficient, & quick.
Accomodations were comfortable! Bed was warm and comfy! Bathroom was very clean!
Daytime staff could pay more attention to upkeep of common areas for cleanliness & organization
I will definitely consider coming here again!

First the good. The staff are lovely and helped us getting taxis to and from the hostel. Then the not so good. The private rooms are apparently great but we were in a mixed dorm and the mattresses were really a series of blankets. Also in the first room there were insects under the mattress so the staff offered to move us to a smaller and clean shared dorm.
