The idea of this project was born when traveling in Argentina. I realized how important it is to feel 'home away from home'. Once back, my brother and I, with the help of our whole family opened LaTapera Jeri Cama & Cafe, a place where everyone can feel like home.
We invite you to stay at the Ferreira house in Jericoacoara. Pay attention, you will see fruits from out mothers garden in the refrigerator, our surfboards on the ceiling, our mother in law sowing at the entrance of the rooms, and the cafe of our sister in law next to the inn!
We and our staff will be happy to welcome you, share life stories and to advise you to make your stay here in paradise unforgettable.

Great hostel, good location and basic facilities. The breakfast was incredible. The staff were nice. Lovely sociable vibe.

Love this hostel. It has a great atmosphere and I would always recommend it. The breakfast is especially good. Note: please put hand soap in the dorm and communal bathrooms.

I stayed in a 10 person dorm, with no window, and a private bathroom also with no window. You can imagine the stench of the room. Regardless of that, the air conditioning was only turned on at night, and the two exhaust fans were not working. Of the 10 lockers most cannot be locked. The bathroom has broken tiles and was constantly with no toilet paper, and also the shower would be clogged every 2-3 days. The two ladies at breakfast were very polite, and hard working.
